If there's one thing I've learned from making videos on YouTube, it's that mentioning a "bag of milk" gets lots of comment engagement. šŸ“ˆ

The irony when you see both a real estate advertisement and an anti-homeless barrier placed on the same bench. Welcome to Canada. šŸ‘Œ

I used to live in the States and, as a Brit, I can't tell you how weird it feels trying to walk anywhere. Walking instead of driving in America feels like you broke the game physics.

Woah, only one kilometer away, AND you've got *crosswalks*? Basically a walking utopia by North American standards

You missed the part where you have to scramble through a cement drainage culvert because there's no sidewalk or shoulder on the only bridge going across it.

"Why don't the youth today go outside more?"
Outside:

Edit: Bonus points for most of the buildings and public areas having decently enforced "no loitering" policies

The thing that surprised me the most is that milk is sold in bags.

I tried this once in the US. I got two minutes walking outside of my neighborhood before I was walking on a narrow road with no shoulder with cars going by at 60mph. I turned around and came back quickly. The nearest store is a couple miles. There is no safe way to walk anywhere. We actually knew someone in town (an acquaintance) who is paralyzed now because he started biking a lot during the pandemic and was hit by a car on a road just like this in town. His family is now struggling to pay his medical bills since he can't work and they have been getting a lot of help through our church. My wife has taken several dinners over to their house. It's terrible.

I love how the bench casually had anti homeless architecture

Even though nobody is gonna sit on that bench, they still took the time, effort, and money to install an anti-homeless bar on it.

Cool. You successfully did something within 60 seconds that my dad couldnā€™t do in 13 years

I used to live in Ottawa Canada, and when I moved to the US I actually thought milk jugs were weird. I then learned that the bags were weird.

Common misconception - those things aren't benches, they're just real estate ads.

As a mexican living in Mexico, I can't imagine walking more than 40 steps to bug milk, I have almost ten different corner shops in a 2 block radius even a hardware store,

Now I know why my dad never returned after leaving to get the milk

This is my first time seeing a ā€œbag of milkā€. This feels like a damned fever dream or something.
