However, regular objects that are compressed cannot STAY black holes. Black holes emit Hawking radiation, which cause them to lose mass quickly. So, for a black hole to be self-sustaining, it must have a fairly large mass.

Black hole does not exert any more of a gravity field turn it down before it collapsed so a collapsed star exerts the same gravity as it did when it was a star and if you crushed an orange to become a black hole it would exert the same gravity as it did when it was an orange

People think black holes are gargantuan? I always think of a black hole as something that's really small and every black hole is the same size just different mass and the only size difference is the event horizon
