Gadamanitira, once a historically famous place of Orissa for its valiant Paik's, and now well connected with its sub-divisional headquarters as well as district headquarters. The Goddess Ramachandi temple is also well connected by road and is about 49 kilometers from Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Orissa. Goddess Ramachandi stands majestically and manifests herself on the top of the Ramachandi hill. The adjoining hill is popularly known as "Govardhan Thali". There are about 72 steps that connect the ground with the hilltop. The scenery, serene atmosphere, green trees and creepers, and the beautiful caves, surrounded by mango groves and encircled with corn fields enhance the beauty of Ramachandi Hill.
