Just make sure your kid meets their friends more, cause sometimes parents don't prioritize their kid having a social life.

Okay so I was ā€œHomeschooledā€. I was left in a room with a pc to do it all on my own. I was not taught the fundamentals of being an adult, nor was I ever prepared or educated enough to attend college.
I do think homeschooling is nice but it NEEDS to be done properly with a parent that doesnā€™t give up out of frustration.
Some parents are ABSOLUTELY NOT FIT TO BE TEACHING!!!
So far my only chances of a survivable wage IS factory work. I stand no chance outside of it currently and am struggling as an adult with piss poor knowledge in math, wages, etc.
There might be a chance one day I can further my education, but when I was offered the opportunity for college I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to do because I was isolated to the point I had no idea what was out there to do and now as an adult I am fighting to keep my head above water financially and so college isnā€™t an option unless a factory wants to cover that but usually that entails working for them for a much longer time period.

Basically moral of this is that both schooling types serve a purpose and itā€™s about fitting the needs of a child and public schools are great for children who are being neglected and abused because it can serve as a save place and a place to thrive and escape

Yeah, but you lose out on a lot of important socialization. Thatā€™s what lower grades in schools are for actually. Theyā€™re there to teach you the basics, keep you safe while your parents work and to socialize you and get you used to being with other kids, and to teach you to make friends.

Nah, I loved school because I got to socialize a lot with friends, troll teachers, skip classes and being chased by the school security guard and all that fun stuff. A lot a kids I knew that were homeschooled were rather socially akward.

I canā€™t support the specific way I was homeschooled. But homeschooling in general seems ok

The problem with a lot of parents that homeschool is, that they indoctrinate their children and the kids never get to hear opposing views, leading to less critical thinking.
