I love that Joeyâs dueling style is gambling. Most of his magic or trap cards have a chance of backfiring on him but he isnât afraid to take risks to go for the win. To me, thatâs what makes him such a great duelist.

It always amazed me how much Joey's deck was built on fate. Fairy dce, skull dice, time wizard roulette.

Joey ALSO got to battle city finals without his "ace card" as well. Arguably Jinzo became his new ace card throughout the battle city arc, since it had simular stats to red-eyes and was used in almost every duel he played in the arc. To my knowledge the only duels he didn't use it in afyer obtaining it were the duel against Mako, Yugi, Kaiba, the big 5 guy he dueled and the 4 way duel before his duel with Marik.

I know it's his favorite card, but I actually don't remember seeing Flame swordsman all that much. Also really surprised not to see Jinzo on here.

Joey has always been my favorite character which is why Red eye black dragon became one of my favorite dragon type monster

He also has a gambling card that will likely never get printed because of how broken it is. I forgot it's name but it's effect was roll a six sided dice. The number you rolled you draw that many cards from your deck, then send the same number of cards drawn to the graveyard from the top of your deck. No drawbacks. No restrictions. Just activate it as if it was a pot of greed, then massacre the hell out of your opponent.

I hate the fact that Flame Swordsman is a fusion card irl. I love the card but seriously why a fusion? Fuck that.

Of the big three, Joey has always been my favorite. Thereâs a reason Iâve got 5 different copies of Red-Eyes, and still love playing as this Brooklyn bozo in YuGiOh video games.

What's crazy is that with the support that have been released for both Red Eyes & Flame Swordsman, both monsters actually have incredible consistency. So if Joey played a modern deck combined w/ both, he'd be a monster as a duelist.
