Time doesn't work differently in space. Time works.... the way time works. Time acts "differently" on Earth as well at high speeds for example even if it's usually negligible. Time appears constant to the observer present in whatever state the person or matter is experiencing time (at high speeds or in zero gravity for example) apart from matter or a person experiencing it in different conditions that effect the perception of time. But all of this seems to be a mechanism built in to the function of time... for whatever reason.

it would be correct to say that time moves slower on earth due to gravity, not the other way around
