Through music and emotion, we remember and honor the lives lost in Anjar. Watch the heartfelt performance by @kartikeyavashist and @makrand.music at the dstories - museum biennale's cultural night at Veer Balak Smarak.

The devastating earthquake that hit Anjar in 2001 took the lives of 2,000 people, including 185 young students, 20 teachers, and 2 police constables who were on duty during the Republic Day Parade at school. It was a heartbreaking loss that left a deep scar on the community.

Yet, through the pain and grief, hope and resilience have emerged. Veer Balak Smarak was built to remember and honor the victims, and to serve as a reminder of the importance of preparedness in the face of natural disasters.
