It was pretty fun reading Prince of Thorns and actually being able to feel the contempt just in the narration so I may give this a shot if its similar

Glad to see this book get some attention. Its got some not so great bits but what it gets right, it really gets right. Too many books get locked into hard rule sets for the magik etc, and forget the unknowable and strange. Black tongue does a good job of transporting the reader into a strange world.
