People take things out of context you gotta realize whom he’s talking about people were cutting themselves and putting markings on them to worship idols and do rituals. And we are not under the law anymore we are under grace. Y’all have a blessed day

This reminds me of when my son got his tattoos and some of the people at his church were ready to condemn him although every tattoo he has represents something positive he has no regrets. I just told him to be careful in doing these tattoos and to keep it clean and positive.
To me tatoos is like art which it is. I personally wouldn't do it.❤

I personally wouldnt get one, im more afraid of committing than anything lol. I do NOT believe the bible condemens it however. When reading the verses people typically refer to about tattoos I think its open to interpretation. When in Deuteronomy It speaks of not marking oneself i think thats in reference to grieving the dead. Also, when it speaks of your body being a temple while this is true, in that context, I believe it is referring to sexual immorality. In this case, I believe paul says it best "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" in Philippians 2:12. I see it as one more worldly thing that has worked its way into the church.we are called To be a peculiar people. Plus it could be a stumbling block for some Christians .I doubt that christ had tattoos and we are called to be like him.He is the example.
