The lift role has been changed somewhat. It is now the "catch and throw" rule. If the ball noticeably is caught, or caught and then redirected at speed, that will be an infraction. As of 2023 at least

most of these rules vary by age level, but for me its the net. so many refs are super picky and they call us on everything (THEN LITERALLY THE NET WAS BOUNCING UP AND DOWN FROM THE OTHER TEAM AND BRO CALLED NOTHING I WAS SCREAMING WE LOST THAT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 33-31)

I would change the rule no more than 3 hits on one side because it gets so annoying when it's hard to pass a ball like when your diving and you have to get it over the net when your the third hitter and it's your fault if your didn't get it over like I'm just trying to pass it to somebody else because I'm not the best at spiking the ball. Lol 😭

i know that liberos can set but only behind the attack line, but i watched a college vb game and the libero got first touch (freeball) but she was in the attack line. can someone explain pls?
