i think these mechanics will just add to pvp. the amount of people that will be held up in the starter areas because fires will be essential will lead to freshie chaos.

We have community servers for PvP I don't think people play official servers for the PvP. The more mechanics in the base game the better, server owners/mod authors can always remove or by pass survival mechanics if they wish to do so...With the popularity of Namalsk it's no wonder they're adding those mechanics from that map. I play PC but I'm glad they're giving console players a Namalsk experience
