Everyone's got those songs where the substance of the melody seems to happen right around the 'break'. You can lower the key, push until you burn out your voice or learn to artistically play with this area of your voice so that your 'break' actually turns into your close companion!

Uhh, this so good! Would love a full version.

Side note - I'm so obsessed with your channel, your teaching style makes learning so fun and easy to understand. - That's coming from someone who normally has massive trouble understanding and learning, so well done. The world needs more teachers like you :)

Chris, dude, not only was this good but when you started compressing in the chorus and worked up to the grit on the word "break"....freaking sweet!

A full cover might be pretty cool.

Keep up the good work.

Not the song I had expected to hear you sing, but you nailed it for the video. Avril is my favorite singer next to Lzzy Hale 💖

This is incredible, Chris. Oftentimes I get to a song with notes that are a little high, but nothing too crazy, and when my voice inevitability explodes, I quit and go back to low songs. Songs from another gender? Forget it. I wouldn't even try. But here you are showing you can do anything. Thanks for being awesome and an inspiration.

This is so good!!! please upload the cover somewhere, I far prefer it, its really well done. It feels like an alternate reality where Connor Mason was a pop singer XD

I’m sure I’ve heard you sing this one before. Still awesome. You have to do a full cover and an Avril breakdown now. :) I noticed recently that there’s some odd pronunciation things going on in this song after hearing the isolated vocal for the first time. Towards the end she kinda imitates Shakira vocally imo. Also the lyrics where I thought she was singing “no no” it’s actually closer to “low low”.

I noticed you doin some of the same things I do that I hate about my voice...all around that break lol. Am I being to hard on my self?

I just want to wow an audience one time. I'm not even close to doin that yet, but I'm getting my courage up just to post videos on YouTube. Lol small steps are still steps forward.

Your voice actually kinda sounds like Jared Leto from 30 seconds to Mars. Could you do a video on Tokio Hotels “Ready Set Go!” Vocals

Just like here, I get very quiet at that break. Above and below is ok. I hate that I csnt sing louder there like it seems do many others can, Orrr their chest voice is much higher.
