Had a 1070 for many many years and mostly played games at 2k .....not always on high settings, but the monitor made up for that. Such a great card and the 1080 even better!

still have a 1080 (non TI), my monitors are 1080p, and its just in this last year that i have started to encounter games where i need to drop the quality to medium to maintain a smooth 60+FPS i think as long as you are sticking to 1080p, this card still has a couple of years left before games get so demanding that even on the low settings it starts to struggle

its an amazing card... it was so far ahead of its time. same with the 7700K... both monsters

It died when new game aren’t optimized for it anymore. It can live if only game dev are willing to do the optimization. Like palworld run so smooth at 1440p 90fps with Fsr balance, but same UE 5 game at 1440p could be 10-20fps in other game.

GTX 1080 Ti is good but consume alot of power and lacks some features but the 11GB VRAM is nice tho

Exactly why I kept my 1080 ti and moved it to my spare rig where it sits with an R5 3600.

i would almost buy one just to have it on a shelf sitting next to my 4790k next to my bricked z97 msi board with the sweet red and black color scheme and the red Gskill ram . those were the days mate.

I'm playing my older (10 year+) games at 4K@60 (limited by 4K TV) on a 1080Ti. Newer games with a few settings turned down still hit 4K@60. Only struggles at 4K with titles from the last 2 years, but put it down to 1440 or 1080 and it's golden again.

I’d say the a770 is quite above that as it typically trades bows with the likes of 6700xt 4060 ti and 7600xt

Always dreamed of having one back when they came out. Never get one and I've got a 4070 ti now so no reason to, but I'm very glad it's still going strong to this day

Although $100 more expensive used, the RTX 2080 Ti wears the performance crown for PCIe 3.0. If I were going used I would want one over a new 4060/ti. Even the 16GB models.

Still more powerful than my 1660 Super (which is the fastest card I've ever owned personally)

I've had a 1080ti once (RIP) and it was a monster even with the most demanding games

I went from intel HD 4400 to vega 8 to RTX 4060 while this card was always in my vision. Can't believe this card is still relevant.

The 1080ti does have pretty high power draw tho for how powerful it is
