There are only 300 / 1000 remaining copies of the Deluxe Edition, and each one is numbered as well as being hand-signed by Gord S, Rob, Paul and Johnny. Each copy includes a vinyl with two versions of āGet Back Againā; remixed and mastered from the original 1988 recording, and live from the Misty Moon in 1990. Itās presented in a handmade clamshell box and bound in metallic pink art paper (as a nod to Gordās suit on the MMP tour) with an aluminium plate on the front cover (inspired by Phantom Power). Each copy includes six 5x7" postcard prints with candid photos from our 1991 and 1993 tours, a 1992-93 Fully Completely backstage tour pass, and more.Ā

Forgot to add that I would love to give it as a gift to my husband on his October 6 birthday. He (we) have been huge fans pretty much from the beginning. Brian was even part of the tape (recording) exchange of shows people had went to. Weāve seen the band play at wildly different venues and two different countries. He brought me to my first Hip concert at the Toledo Zoo when we started datingā¦an absolutely epic show but oddly not the strangest location. For us that would have been at Calvin (private Christian) College in their gym. Attended many shows at The Orbit Room, a bar in Grand Rapids Michigan. A bunch of us would rent buses filled with friends, cross over the Bluewater Bridge, hit a party store and pretty much empty it of anything alcohol, pre drink, tailgate until the doors opened and then have the times of our lives, so close that it almost felt like we were on the stage with the band! Once I drunkly tripped and was caught by my hero Mr Gord Downie who saved my lifeā¦or more likely saved me from a life time of embarrassment lol. Toronto, Barrie, Hamilton, London on the last tour for a show that filled us with a plethora of emotions and my personal favourites were at Bayfest in Sarnia my hometown. Favourites for all the reasons everyone loves Hip shows plus the feeling of pride. Filled with pride seeing my/our favourite band absolutely killing it on stage in the town where we lived.
A very very long story (apologies as I was suddenly taken unexpectedly down the best memory lane and needed to share the pure joy and excitement) to say that This Us Our Life deluxe edition would mean the world to me having the opportunity to give Brian this gift and the world to him receiving it.

I might have to splurge and buy myself a gift. The Tragically Hip have been the soundtrack for much of my life. As much as we all miss Gord we still love all the rest of you and miss you. The new documentary is absolutely beautiful. I've watched all four episodes twice now and I'm sure I will watch it again. This book looks like a treasure trove. ā¤

EDIT: got it, but I only received the book and NONE of that other stuff that was shown in this video. What I unwittingly ordered was the bookstore edition(?). However, there was no choice between 'bookstore' or 'deluxe edition' at the time I ordered it. Having a second look at the website, there is no option at that website to order the deluxe edition. Then, I find out that Amazon is selling (just) the book for $52 where The Hip website is selling it for $79 (which is what I paid). WTF, man? Anyway, rant over, it's a beautiful book.

I bought this a few months ago and I believe they said it will be completed and ready to be delivered in October. I havenāt heard anything more since I bought it, has anyone else who bought this several weeks earlier heard anything more about delivery?
