The young Snow had good intentions in the beginning and acted very smart by playing along the game. His goal was it to stop the games from the inside but he lost himmself in the games instead. He knew that he had to stay alive in order to end the hunger games but his focus was later only on staying alive no matter what. After killing innocent people he let Dr. Gauls manipulation in his thoughts and "discovered" the evil in him. This changed his entire instincs so that he no longer cared about people dying, he only cared about himself and the show like Dr. Gaul. The only "good thing" that was left from his younger self was the idea of presenting the Tributes to honor them. (if you could call it a "good thing")

I really hope one day we learn the real fate of Lucy Gray............I like to imagine she survived in the woods and managed to live her life somewhat peacefully in the wilds or something.
