Okay but like BoO is Reyna, Nico wouldn't have travelled across the world if she wasn't giving him her strength, not to mention she got blessed by Athena and defeated Orion single-handedly. Reyna and Nico are both really good characters, but I feel like Nico's achievements are pushed up because all the training he got was never really mentioned even though it is implied he learned how to swordfight from the dead, while Reyna's successes get chalked up to 'Oh, she has experience, everybody can manage that with some training.' Not to mention she got Pegasus' approval and had to travel alone to Greece and then immediately go back (and also the killing Scipio part...). She sacrificed so much. She was more than willing to accept death, as she mentions a lot in BoO, if her quest succeeded.
I'm not hating on Nico or saying he's overrated, but I do feel like his trauma eclipses the resilience of other characters and makes people overlook them.

Noooo... I only got to read HoO at age 9, and I only had 5 days to read them cuz I use illegal sites, and I can't remember the plot at book 5 aside from nosebleed
