Loving this game. And thanks for the tips. I’m loving the streamlined gear and upgrading systems. Still wish we could sell gear we no longer want, but otherwise it’s good.

Ok lemme be real honest for a second, I enjoy the combat and the story along with the exploration. I however do not enjoy the non binary talk and the way Isabella, morrigan, and how the demons look. The darkspawn make sense if you think about it, they have been changed by Elgar’nan to serve a purpose so if you use that to explain why they look weird that can be why, the companions stories are great (except taash). The blighted dragons and Archdemons look great, solas looks great. I do not like how some choices from previous games don’t matter now. I do like how the titans are portrayed, And so much more about certain story elements. Elgar’nan and ghillanain look great. The consequences of your actions I feel were implemented well. The game is beautiful. But the talk of non binary stuff is immersion breaking at best, and too woke at worst, I would have preferred that if they were to implement non binary talk to at least make up a new qunari word for it at least, or better yet not have it at all. As I’ve said the demons look awful and I miss the old designs. The new factions are cool enough for me. And finally the ending is badass. I’ve said my piece.

I honestly don’t understand the vitriol over this game. I was actually pretty ambivalent over it. I played Inquisition like 9-10 years ago and was kinda meh after all those years. However, I saw some streams of Veilgard and thought it looked fun.
Bought it and haven’t been able to put it down. I find the world exploration and combat pretty fun. I like the God of War style unlocking the world bit by bit. Some of the big bosses are pretty challenging.
Is it a perfect game? Absolutely not. The writing is pretty generic and uninspired. There’s also a lack of genuine interactivity in the world. Like I’m smashing though boxes like koolaid man on speed right in front of guards or merchants and not even a hint of reaction. The NPCs are just decorations. You can’t even talk to your companions outside of scripted moments/quests.
You CAN pet the Griffon and many of the dogs/cats (and if playing PS5 the cats make your controller rumble like a purr)
Will this be my favorite game of all time? No not even close but I AM having an overall good time right now. If I get 70+ hours out of it, then I’ll be satisfied

everyone is literally bandwagoning hate. I literally played through all the mass effects and the dialogue is so similar it's not even funny. Mass effect gets praise but veil guard gets flak only because people can't get over that there's gender politics in it.
