Amen. I came to the same conclusions after a very brief flirtation with born-again Christianity as a pubescent girl. Thank god my parents encouraged me to learn about all religions, how they differed how they were the same. And I did just that…. And at the end I decided I did not need any organized religion to be a good and decent person. And if that alone wasn’t good enough for some allegedly all power, all knowing, loving god…..i didn’t care to participate in that god’s existence.

Ever since I saw "What Dreams May Come", I've thought that movie has the kind of afterlife I could believe in.
Everyone goes to heaven... If they don't believe they *deserve* to be punished.
Hell is what you make it. Your punishment is what you believe it should be.
If you want to go back and try again, you can. Or you can just enjoy yourself, all day every day.
And pets go to heaven too.

Fear of Hell is the point of Hell because if you don’t have the fear of irrational torment for all eternity what’s there to stop you from asking questions like why would an all loving God creat some people with an attraction towards their own sex? And if God created these people, did he create them just to punish them? Maybe Gods as fake as Hell?

Yeah, god is such a swell guy that he wont burn you for eternity for the crime of being born, IF you accept the 36 hours (which somehow = 3 days) of suffering of Josh is of equal value to the eternity × the entire population of humans that ever lived and will live's burden of suffering. That's some funny math.
