Animals life span is much shorter than human being. They may die when times comes. If an animal meat can feed 300 hungry mouth I am sure it's right thing to do. There is food chain cycle. Some people eat plants. Some eat plants and animals both. Some eat sea food. Still there is food shortage in the world. Some part of Asia and Africa people have one meal a day only.

Swami Vivekananda was non vegetarian. There is no restriction as far as I know on being non vegetarian in the Vedas, and at no point is it stated that as part of the process of spiritual evolution the seeker will automatically turn vegetarian or vegan.

Absolutely agree with Guru ji, Inam just shocked that i did not realise it,
I quite eating meat and dairy during the pandemic, and slowly but surely today, I am a much more spiritual person than I ever was,
And the fact is, when I turned Vegans, I was an atheist, but now I am a devoted Sanatani
