OK, so you're live actioning probably the single best animated franchise produced in my lifetime, one that holds particular sentimental value to me, in a shot for shot methodology. Brave. I genuinely hope you pull it off.

Why is the entertainment industry treating animation like video games these days? This is basically like giving an old game newer graphics. If this were a live action remake of Shrek, it’d mock the way Disney’s been doing live action remakes of their classics.

I don't see a lot of emotional weight within the live action version. The animated movie remains etched deep in me and you’ll have to DEEPLY convince and impress me when then movie comes out.

People always dreamed of books and comics turned into films, so when did the disconnect happen so that suddenly they only make films into films? Do people literally not read anymore?

I’m not sure why anyone would go see this. It’s the same movie, same story, same everything we’ve seen multiple times for over a decade. They should have done the same universe but a different story. I guarantee this movie will bomb.

There's a reason the animated one did so well. Animation just allows for it to be done perfectly when written just as well. There's so much missing detail in terms of just the characters and their expressiveness even just from watching this trailer.
