I hate how we are "trained" to perceive faces nowadays. All these filtered, perfectly polished images are toxic imho. I mean... once someone posts an unfiltered image without actually explaining themselves, people start telling them how old they look, how "ugly" they are etc. while they just look perfectly fine and normal and nothing's wrong about them. People will FEEL ugly and old when they see themselves unfiltered. Guy, we are humans, we develop dynamic wrinkles over time, we smile, we cry, we get angry, our faces express our emotions, those that are expressed the most will leave an imprint on our faces and that is part of who we are. Pores are important for our body since our skin is a huge organ. None of these things are bad or ugly. They are natural and normal. Perfection does not exist and seeking it just adds more stress to our already overstimulated, cluttered minds. Love yourself for who you are. Filters can be fun - my boyfriend and I often times just use them to have a good laugh, but that's it. And the way the use of them changed into something people rely on to feel good, is just sad to the core. And it does take away our very own uniqueness too... which is even more sad.
