Emo Philips wonderful joke comes to mind:
**
Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"
He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"
He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"
Northern Conservative†Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.

Exactly. I often argue with friends who reason that if God doesn’t exist, or there’s no consequence for one’s moral actions, then what’s the point of living? But when you take a step back and accept that, ultimately, there is no inherent point—it’s what you make of it—you realize all the internal conflict people face over ethics and God doesn’t matter.
Living in the world and experiencing it is completely different from just chanting philosophical platitudes

If you say it like this, it sounds silly, but I can genuinely imagine this example playing out. You feel yourself being persuaded by beautiful narrative, and you start changing your mind about what you're about to do. But then you remember that this play on your emotions tells you nothing about the actual truth of how the world is, but logical reasoning does. And that you shouldn't be persuaded by your emotions especially when they contradict logic. And thus, you change your mind again back to your original stance. That's a non-joking way of saying about the same thing you said, I think. And I don't think that's very silly or unrealistic

What's so cold about meaninglessness? What a great burden that is lifted off our shoulders. We're just dusk spinning on a rock in the vast expanse of nowhere. All of these issues we worry about day by day don't need to be worried about. Let's just frolic and prance in the absurdity of our existence and the illusion of self.

This is the first time I've encountered a sensitivity dialog where I need to press a button to see a short.
