www.patreon.com/daria_mikhay If you’ve been learning Russian for a while but still struggle to speak with confidence, you’re not alone. Many learners face this exact challenge.
Here’s why:
🗣️Lack of speaking practice: Grammar exercises and vocabulary lists are great, but they won’t help you speak unless you actively practice talking. Speaking regularly, even with mistakes, is key.
📚Overthinking grammar: Russian grammar is complex, and many learners freeze up trying to remember the “right” way to say something. In real conversations, focus more on getting your message across than perfect grammar.
🙊Fear of making mistakes: Fear holds a lot of people back. The truth is, mistakes are a natural part of learning any language. The more you speak, the more comfortable you’ll get.
✅How to fix it:
⚡️Find a language partner: Start speaking with a native or fellow learner regularly. You’ll gain confidence faster by using the language in real situations.
⚡️Use the language daily: Surround yourself with Russian as much as possible. Even small conversations, like ordering coffee in Russian, help build fluency.
⚡️Focus on progress, not perfection: Don’t aim to be perfect right away. Aim to communicate, and the fluency will come with time.

A friend said the flaw with Russian is if you sneeze it means something.
Another flaw according to her is the alphabet is backwards and has numbers in it.
She's fluent in French.
