Part of the reason is that when one finally learns something that took years to learn, tend to assume there is no other explanation. Some laws of science may be incomplete; many theories have been put aside. In the spiritual realm, if we consider that other beings have agency, we need to remember they could lie.

Jonathan can you please describe what is bad about esotericism? As I understand it -it is understanding your unconscious hidden aspects of self that can be harmful to yourself and others if they remain hidden and transforming them In order to be a better person in service to humanity rather than these dark aspects of self enslaving you and causing harm. That’s the way I understand it from a local Rosicrucian church. I dont see how that is in any way bad. Perhaps this has been hijacked by groups looking to use esotericism in a self serving way via magic etc? Please clarify.
