Although people , doctor and internet keep suggesting that mothers diet aint gonna affect the breastmilk and neither the baby . I refuse to beleive it . Earlier i also used to dismiss them as myths but trust me mother diet does affect the baby's milk . First time we went out after having my kid and i ate outside food , and then feeded , my boy immediately caught diahorrea , i thought of it as a coincidence but then it happened second time as well . People also says that drinking milk doesnt help in production of milk . 🙃🙃 But when i was living my own during my first kid as me and my husband lived abroad , there was no significant milk production althought there was some . Then during the birth of my second kid i shifted at my mom's house and she strictly kept me on a milk diet . I asked for water and she would hand me a glass of milk plus lots of nuts and all the desi recipes. Trust me my milk production was so high that the clithes i used to wear and roam around used to get soaked of milk 🙃🙃 . Same breasts same mother yet everything different . I dunno but now i cant just no longer dismiss these beleive

Can you quote from where you did your research? If it is based on your personal experience you should quote that and should not say no evidence. My simple query on Meta AI yielded the followingresult
According to various studies and health , mother's consumption of spicy food can potentially affect breastfed babies, but the impact is generally minimal and short-term.
Effects on breast milk:
1. Capsaicin (compound responsible for spiciness) is present in breast milk, but at very low levels (Source: European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 2011) [1]
2. Spicy food may increase breast milk production due to the release of oxytocin (Source: Journal of Human Lactation, 2014) [2]
Effects on baby:
1. Some babies may react to spicy flavors in breast milk with:
- Fussiness
- Gas
- Stool changes
- Refusal to feed (Source: American Academy of Pediatrics, 2012) [3]
2. However, most babies tolerate spicy breast milk without issues (Source: Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, 2015) [4]
Expert guidelines:
1. World Health Organization (WHO): "Mothers can eat spicy food, but if the baby reacts, adjust the diet accordingly." [5]
2. American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP): "A mother's diet does not need to be drastically altered, but avoiding extremely spicy or gassy foods may help." [3]
3. La Leche League International: "If your baby reacts to spicy food, try reducing or avoiding it for a few days." [6]
Sources:
[1] European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 2011: "Transfer of capsaicin from mother to infant through breast milk"
[2] Journal of Human Lactation, 2014: "The effect of spicy food on milk production"
[3] American Academy of Pediatrics, 2012: "Breastfeeding and the use of human milk"
[4] Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, 2015: "Maternal diet and infant symptoms"
[5] World Health Organization: "Maternal nutrition and breastfeeding"
[6] La Leche League International: "Diet and breastfeeding"
Key takeaway: Mothers can consume spicy food in moderation, but be mindful of their baby's reaction. If concerns arise, consult a healthcare professional or registered dietitian.
