My testimony on the gift of toungues. A few years ago I actively sought to pray in toungues. I could never do this before. I researched, read the Bible, prayed and asked God to give me the gift. I was even prepared to travel to a different city to a visiting pastor from overseas to have him pray over me so that I could speak in toungues. Nothing happened yet it was something I wanted so bad. Then one day while driving home from work, I thought about a scripture about how the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. Now I understand that a gift is a gift and one cannot forcefully take a gift however the meaning for me was to not give up and push on forward . If I wanted it bad enough, if I sought with all my heart and strength I would receive this gift. So as I was driving alone, I opened my mouth, mouthed a few words or what sounded like words...then boom....like a gateway opened I started to speak in toungues....I was amazed, extremely elated, happiness and joy is what i felt. It was so awesome. amazing..and it still is to this day. my personal belief is that if you want it bad enough, push for it, you will get it...its true that speaking in toungues actually boosts us internally, spiritually...its actually gives me inner strength which I can't adequately explain. Its supernatural. Also singing in toungues is real. Gosh the first time I sang in toungues I cried...sometimes I cant believe how beautiful the words and melody which is coming out of my own mouth. I cant hold a tune but in toungues it sounds like angels are singing with me or something....I highly recommend and counsel you to press on until you speak in toungues. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you. JESUS IS REAL. HE IS THE WAY, THE THRUTH AND THE LIFE! Every Christian must speak in toungues. Already this life is so hard, speaking in toungues is speaking directly to God. And by doing this there are only pros which one will reap. Inner strength, peace, joy, comfort in the midst of adversity. Knowing God is listening to you when you speaking and singing to Him. It does something wonderful to ones soul, body, spirit. Trust me on this one!
