Sejanus was a good character, but the sad truth is he wouldn't ever survive in the world he was living in. He had too good heart and too much emphaty for the tributes and the people in the districts. The most tragic part of his story was the fact that him and Coryo used to be friends, but each of them eventually chose the opposite side of the baricade.

He’s just trying to protect sejanus. He was basing it off capitol rules and assumed his dad would just buy him out of any serious punishment and he’d go back home and be an office worker. He wanted sejanuss plan to be discovered before it had actually taken effect meaning a less harsh punishment
