That is the MPL-50 shovel. It's Danish, but out of the many countries that used it, Imperial russia and its descendant states used it the longest. It is actually fully intended to be used like this, among additional roles (such as for measuring, the lengths of certain parts are standardized)

For all of you opining over the tree she is cutting… IT’S A DEAD TREE! She only cuts dead trees. Dead trees are dry, the wood is seasoned and ready to burn. If you cut a living tree the wood is “green” and wet. You have to wait at least a year for it to properly dry. There is no need for a camper to cut live trees. That is why she only cuts dead trees

Talk to the manufacturer of the shovel about using it as a skillet. It might change the temper of the metal and weaken it.
