My local Home Depot and Lowes both hot glue fake plastic flowers all over every single cactus they sell. When you take them off it leaves a tear or dent or whatever into the cactus. It's so sad. I have one that is still healing from it. (I normally dont support buying those but my husband brought it home as a surprise little treat for me one day)

I’ve seen this many times over the years, so strange and unnecessary. If they want to add color, make the pots different instead.
I rarely buy any plants at Home Depot anyways; I live in a city so there’s no outdoor nursery area and so many of the plants look like they’re going to die within days. So sad and wasteful.
