I think it’s brilliant. When you dig the first has to go somewhere. How many holes do you dig in a day. A shovel would take forever.

Lazy? That's tedius dirty work. It takes drive to do that day in and day out. Lots of work just to prep truck and endless cleankng and repair of expensive equipment. Just the tips on those pressure washers are hundreds of dollars and they wear out quicker than any business owner would like.
