Study is very good, in fact, I believe it is very important because it allows us to be able to see and meditate on things we would have missed if we had not studied. And actually, study brings joy and fulfillment because you are learning of things that you had not known about before and that’s a great thing! But…
We must continually remember that our hunger and thirst can ONLY be satisfied by GOD ALONE!
So, you can meet with God in the midst of deep study but you can meet with God in just meditating on one verse! In fact, the times I have spent time just meditating and pondering one verse, those have been some of the most powerful “Quiet Time” mornings I have had.
So friends, seek God daily, whatever it looks like. Our souls hunger and thirst for that which only God can fill. Seek Him daily. Seek Him diligently. Seek the Lord with all you have in you!

This was such a beautiful reminder, thank you! I have one Bible that is packed full of notes, and recently got a brand new Bible. So when I open it during my quiet time and see all of those pages without notes, I’m instantly in my own head, feeling like I’m not doing enough. Does that make sense? Hopefully I explained that okay, lol. Thank you for this! 💕
