Good analogy however it's false. As oda revealed in an SBS when a fan questioned about the gear 4 pose and how it looked like a pose of a Nio statue oda indeed revealed that it was indeed the inspiration for the pose. A lot of Buddhist statue etc has the four finger palmed pose so it's most likely just coincidence.
