👉Ingredients:
(For the stuffing / puran)
Chana dal-1 cup (soaked)
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Water- as required
Ghee - 2 tsp
Jaggery powder - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
A pinch of salt
(For poli / the outer layer)
Wheat flour-1 cup
Maida-1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Ghee - 1/2 tsp
Water- as required to make the soft dough

👉Process:
1. In a pressure cooker, add soaked chana dal, water, turmeric powder and cook up to 2 whistles.
2. Once done, with the help of a strainer, separate the dal from the water. Add ghee in a pan and add the cooked dal. Add Jaggery, salt and cardamom powder and cook until jaggery melts. Keep stirring for 10-15 minutes on slow to medium heat until the mixture turns thicker. Transfer on a plate and let it cool down completely.
3. For the dough, take wheat flour, maida, turmeric powder, ghee and add water as required to make a soft dough.
4. Roll out a few balls from the dough and add the stuffing inside and cover the edges. Roll it with the help of a roller pin.
5. Heat the tawa, add ghee and roast the puran poli from both the sides. It should not be crispy like parathas, it should be a little soft. Apply ghee and cook until golden brown.
6. Serve with ghee and enjoy. (or any dessert, optional)
