key phrase: "could be". flashbacks and dissociative symptoms are more of a clear sign, but even then dissociation is a natural response we all have and can be triggered by non-traumatic stress or even normal dissociation from boredom/absentmindedness. the only thing i would feel comfortable saying is to get a good therapist (you may have to go through several) and keep an open mind each way. denial can be extremely powerful and is common among trauma survivors (in my experience), AND repressed memories are NOT necessarily the answer. even if you have them, you probably don't need to uncover them in order to heal (doing so is often destabilizing and can lead to a worsening of symptoms even when taking every precaution). this is just my perspective but i hope it might be helpful to someone questioning this.

I have repressed memories from pre adoption and have no way of finding answers bc my biological family passed away when I was younger. I’m now 22 with severe depression and suicidal. I also had a paraganglioma/pheochromocytoma removed from my aorta 2 years ago. Many unexplained events in my life that I’m afraid I’ll never get answers to.

I had repressed memories of a "situation" for some reason. The memories came back in the form of a swarm of bees circling my head. Since remembering what happened it's as if I'm finally able to "grow" past it. But why now?
