I need to clarify this I think but the reason they lost power in the engine is because the engine actually detached from the wing. Also the animations come from Smithsonian Aviation Channel.

sorry they did not lose power to one engine. They lost the whole engine. ripping out the controls on that side of the plane. Big difference. my Grandmas trailer was in that trailer park the day it crushed. not to mention the millions of gallons of gas next to that. that plane hit in the only spot that wouldn't kill more people: a plane junk yard. bless the pilots RIP
