If you forget to put down a release agent for TPU, like glue stick or windex or hairspray… just toss the build plate in your freezer for like 15 min. Pops right off.

I think we all knew the MK4 would handle TPU lol

Glue stick or textured sheet is the prusa-recommended TPU print surface

I'm $160 away from owning a mk4. Saving up and can't wait.

Spray with ISO before removing
Works a treat ….. or just put hairspray on the plate before

TPU 70A and 60A would be nice to see printing on your machine. I still struggle with the 70A jaming on the Nexttruder.

Yeah I suggest using glue or a textured bed when printing TPU, had a similar experience my self but it ended with some of the PEI being torn off

Just a little advice for you and the other people that are watching your video, don't keep the pei surface on the printer bed when you try to remove a print, also when you are leaning on the printer, the prusa bed is made from that pcb material or something like that, anyway you got the point,is not a sofa so don't lean on it,have fun😊

I'm with you on this one, we can't have this new trend of printers that just work continue to develop!

Printer came with a book that tells you everything you need to know about printing certain materials and the build plates and/or glue recommendations.
Smooth basically for PLA only. Everything else requires a separation layer on the smooth sheet.
Satin sheet is the most versatile. Still requires glue for TPU.
Textured sheet can print TPU w/o a glue stick for a separation layer.

I've been using Overture TPU with good results, knew you were going to have trouble when I saw you were on the smooth sheet. Satin sheet works well.

It even says in the original MK4 manual that you have to use glue with the smooth PEI plate

If you have issues with the bed separating, pop it into your freezer after it's cooled down to room temperature, it should pop right off on its own

Either freezer or warm it up slightly to make TPU unstick a bit easier.

Oh no you got lucky! I use textured pei for petg and tpu, it's amazing tbh so resistant to oil and also nozzle height issues

Sounds dumb, but rub a little talc on the smooth pei with tpu. Works great.

I had the same thing happen to me today I used isopropyl alcohol to help get it off!

Use glue stick on the smooth sheet when printing TPU.
