Kurt Cobain sang the angst, the depression, the frustration, of the disappointment of the entire generation X!!! Gen X was the first generation realizing that the baby boomers' version of life wasn't true at all. Generation X saw & understood that their parents weren't at all the 'happy heroes' as they'd first thought growing up.. Generation X learned first & fast the impact & aftermath of divorce, the painful escalation of families breaking apart and of suicide.. IMO Generation X was the first group of kids realizing they'd been lied to.. that dreams often don't come true at all.. That the world we live in is really fucked..

Yes, when you layer 5 vocals it sounds intense. I sing like a drink pterodactyl and layered 5 times actually sounds good. If I had vocal talent, it would sound like this as well.
