Completely agree. I have unfortunately travelled few times .. food is pathetic.. AC is so low you will be sweating .. and the staff are elegantly rude...and not bothered about passengers ..

Yes this is true about Sri Lankan Airways… once I had asked for a glass of water, the airhostess pointed to other airhostess and said "She will give it". She never turned up.

Just to clarify, if u notice, all the call bells are illuminating which means the aircraft doors are open n the plane is on ground which makes it alright to keep the cockpit door open as there are security personnels right outside the aircraft. The cockpit doors shut right before the cabin doors are closed :) Ex flight attendant here.

Unless the aircraft door isn’t closed, the cockpit door can be opened without being manned. Also the forward galley has crew, so No, you cannot enter the cockpit. There isn’t any danger because security can enter aircraft anytime.

I have travelled Sri Lankan once, 4 flights in total, Abu Dhabi-Colombo-Male and back.
All four flights were late, like half to one hour. No apologies.
Food was ordinary, not particularly bad.
Very little entertainment in tv.
Worst part is the old, under capacity, filthy bathroom overflowing and no space to sit Colombo airport.
People can only sit in the hold area near the departure gate and feel claustrophobic because of the glass partition.

On ground when the door are opened the cockpit door should be opened state .
Once the aircraft door . I mean all aircraft exit on the portside is shut with pax in and before push back cockpit must be shut ... After which push back happens.
