We visited the National Aviary in Pittsburgh over TG weekend, recorded a few minutes of bird sounds, brought them home. While answering Reddit later that day, someone asked about the Sforzando sample player, which I haven't touched in years (although it has a nice banjo sound whenever I want to channel my inner Bill Ludwig). That got me digging in to the MuseScore 3.0 samples, which use Sforzando, and doing some long neglected housework, Changing the things I didn't like about those samples. Renaming. Normalizing volume. Deleting things that just didn't work right and never would. A lot of odd artifacts in there. So some of these sounds in this video, other than the birds, came from those samples. Yes, there's Vital, and Cymatics.fm of course. What else hadn't I touched in ages? Kilohearts. So there's a couple of those effects as well. Interesting video tricks in Reaper and PhotoMosh, layering, always layering. And a nice ducking glitch generator from Reaper.
