David Wallace is just like every person that is alive and ever lived: there are subjects that I would agree with him and other subjects that I would disagree with him. Mr. Wallace's words show a fundamental misunderstanding of what Atheism is.

That idea is theologically inconsistent.
If you assert there is no god but God, (Isiah 45:5). Then there is only one God.
Atheists do not believe in that God by definition and self proclamation.
They may exhibit behaviors similar to worship, but it doesn’t invalidate what they believe.

This is another example of Theists projecting their weaknesses onto others. You are so taken-in by the concept of "worship" that you can't even imagine a person who doesn't share this perceived necessity.
I only "worship" things if you redefine and dilute the word to the point that it's effectively meaningless. We don't "worship" these things in a comparable way that you worship your supernatural father-figure, so please stop trying to make this ridiculous comparison. Your vulnerabilities and limitations are not mine.

Atheism is just a position on a god or gods. If my top-priority in life is my family, my family is not a god or gods, and I don´t believe in a god, then I am an Atheist. You are also conflating worship with importance or priority.
Also, I could worship a person like a Christian worships their god and I would still be an Atheist if I did not believe that person to be a god.
You are wrong and intellectually dishonest with these definitions because you want to drag a rational position down to your level.

- Atheism is not about worship. It's about not believing in any god. There are several atheistic religions.
- If any preference is worship, the term worship becomes pointless.
- No matter what you call people who don't believe in any god, there will still be people who don't believe in any god.
