In 3.9 they must have increased the forced labor purge speed, because before that i could stack all undesirables on one planet and they would last me the whole game and at the peak i had 1000 undesirables on a gaia world for maximum profit, but when i last tried to do it they would just melt. I think it can still work if i periodically add and remove the ancient clone vat

One of my favorites is Necrophage+Fanatic Purifier.
It adds a purge policy that lets you almost instantly convert your secondary species, as well as any xenos you encounter, to your founding species, instead of killing them
Similar to Hive Mind assimilation, but you get access to it at the beginning of the game.
I use it in a homebrewed "Zombie Horde" empire. (Though, you will have to keep expanding your empire, raiding, or buying pops because your biological pop growth will be -75%)

Odd I played clone ascendant FP a week ago and this didn't happen to me, I lost all the planets after the purge, and my pop died out, it wasn't until I could move in a robot pop that I got to keep the colonies.

This reminds me of the battle between wh40k orks and tyranids that went on indefinitely because neither of them could kill the other faster than they reproduced. Just an eternal, hellish war.
