I used to have an E Class coupe and it was my favourite car I’ve ever had for mile munching drives. Just sit back in quiet comfort, set the cruise control to 75 and let the car eat the miles, it was great

The lack of pillarless windows for this model is sad. It was one of my favourite features of big Merc coupes & to not see it on the CLE is a real shame.

I'm a car guy, always have been, but I was never really into Mercedes as a brand. Not really sure why, they do make nice stuff. I do think most of there car designs look kinda boring, but I have nothing against them. It might be a stupid reason but the car "names" I think probably played a roll. The naming system is not great, and I never cared enough to learn them.

My 1999 CL500 (C140) has the seatbelt system. If I recall correctly, so does the previous model SECs 1991 and 1990.

That seatbelt delivery mechanism was available on the E coupe in the early nineties.

My mum's 2011 E350 Cabriolet does the seat belt thing.
