The promising trends are L1 (new technologies like SUI, NEAR, or modular ones like Celestia, Dym), L2, L3, Restaking, DEPIN, RWA, Account Abstraction, AI, and something safe like Oracles, Lending and DEX (I currently have JOE, MAV, VRTX).
Derivative Exchange can be good because L1, L2 increases the speed, and that derivative will have a chance for that.
Gaming is also good, but I mainly think the Game Blockchain (RON, IMX, GALA) will be good to buy, not the Game token itself.
