Think for a second who in the original could lightning bend. It was 4 people all literally sions of the fire nation. Highly educated highly trained by the best masters many of whom were literally blood relations. Of those 4 only 3 could produce lightning zuko as you may recall could only redirect it. So Think for a second what does that say about lightning bending? It's a 1 in 1million talent that takes training and possibly blood to even preform and in Kora uneducated Powerplant workers do it 8 hours a day in cycles. Are you seeing the problem yet? Given the lore and understanding of the skill level required this isn't even remotely possible but Kora go burrr

And you think this is what? Good? Hype? Am I supposed to be impressed the generation literally written almost to intentionally tarnish the lore of the original has bigger feats? What you should be asking is why was the show so trash they required bigger feats to keep me invested.
