The Suzuki Swift is designed to be a globally competitive compact car. Since its 2004 debut in Japan, it has become Suzuki's global strategic model, produced in Japan, Europe, India, and China. The third-generation model ZC72S/ZD72S features a lightweight, high-rigidity platform, a 1.2-liter inline-four engine (K12B) with VVT, and a CVT with an auxiliary gear mechanism. It retains the recognizable Swift silhouette but with an extended length and wheelbase, enhancing maneuverability.
