I'm a plus size woman. For years, my lingerie options were so limited. After all, fat people are surely not sexual beings, right? I have an entire section of my closet dedicated to lingerie. It feels empowering to adorn my fat body. It feels revolutionary to be unapologetically fat and desired.

It’s a personal filter. Someone may ‘have eyes’ to perceive lingeries as misogynistic apparatus, others will see it as an element of power (women feelings ultra sexy and powerful that may or may not translate in power over).

I see undergarments as NEITHER. I believe that the idea of undressing the other, even if it was not something made of synthetic lace material IS on itself what is inviting the alluring experience. Sure, I am not talking about the undergarments falling to pieces, but anything that is already covering can be seen as inviting to uncover the body, to reveal the body, to release the body.

I think it's a commercial invention! The idea that a peace of garment makes you sexy! In my opinion, it also has an averse effect for many women! Like just think of how the victoria secret or other lingerie models usually look like and think how many women out there actually can live up to this perfection! Not many i assure you! And the thing that is supposed to make you feel sexy is instead actually making you feel unsexy and undesirable! How many women out there hate to look at their body in the mirror and prefer the lights out in intimacy moments, and im not talking 20 year olds but mature middle aged or older women, mothers with stretch marks and so on...

It’s all about how you feel when you wear lingerie. The act of choosing lingerie is sexy, wearing a piece that makes you feel hot and beautiful. It’s almost a ritual, but it is a ritual to play here and there when you feel like doing something different or unique. And alerting your partner throughout the day that night will be a fun night. There is play in there as well. Who does not like to play?
