You can get kidnapping insurance before you go. They’ll pay up to $1 million if you’re kidnapped. Any place to have that as an option you should never go. You have peoples heads on pikes outside of hotels. The cartel essentially runs the entire country. If you go stay in the tourist areas And near the hotel. I went many years ago when it wasn’t as bad as it is now or perhaps we just didn’t know about all the things that happened because there was no social media, it’s a beautiful place and there is a lot of history there. But it’s very dangerous. Look up the statistics on how many people go missing while vacationing in Mexico every year. That alone should keep you home.
