This is why I always tell db fans that they cant use the logic "when goku was a kid he was unkillable and now hes a billion times stronger" the scaling doesnt work like that. Goku's only strong against other strong people. Thats how the plot works

DBS is just full of lazy writing like this. Things like Goku getting hurt by a bullet are the reason why this show has mixed reactions to it cause of weird decisions I like some aspects of super but it doesn't compare to DBZ

I think this just shows what the original series never did. The little effect of a bullet hitting skin. Sure it scraped his arm but bullets get pretty warm when fired. It's not unreasonable that that would leave a little something. Goku could still take a bunch

Goku was always training bc he lived to survive in the wilderness that’s why bullets never hurted him

You have to remember. Goku had a mortal body. When that bullet hurt goku, it was because he wasnt training and let his body get soft. When goku was a kid, he was on his own. His body was hardened because of how he had to survive, so it was like he was always training.

Honestly the manga for DBZ explained it better, that when Saiyans suppress themselves, theyre actually actively lowering their power to the level they want to be at.
