I like to think that Astarion still looks how he's always looked, pale with white hair, and I think vampirism simply accentuated these features. I like to imagine his eyes color was something exotic, like purple or a light translucent blue, or even a pretty hazel-green. Personally I head-canon that they were a vibrant gold. <333333

With elves being somewhat fey in nature, their eyes can be pretty much any wild or normal colour set that exists. I think people should be able to go wild with their imaginations and picture him with whatever colour eyes they think he might have had. 🥰

If there is a dlc where we can find a cure for vampirism, it would be cool if it goes to a character creation screen to choose our canon then when Astarion looks in the mirror he would say "...strong, piercing eyes..." to parallel the camp mirror scene. Or Larian could just keep his ruby eyes when he is cured and Astarian will just live with it

It seems to me that Astarion's eyes might have been green before he turned into a vampire. It would suit him. But it would be interesting to know the canon.

im very late to this party but as someone immediately drawn to astarion and his story, i actually never really thought about it? im curious if anyone else also didn't consider that as a question to even ask because in my mind, i knew him only as he is now, a vampire, and personally, while all eye colours are beautiful in different ways, i find that the most unique aspects are the way they're shaped, how they move, etc. so it never really concerned me that i didn't know his original eye colour because well, his eyes are red. astarion has red eyes and that's part of who he is now.
i feel like part of accepting and loving him as a character requires accepting him as he is and as he could be; what he cannot be, is mortal, hence, his eyes will remain red and it's sort of pointless to ponder what used to be.

I would laugh so hard if this was a question in game, and Astarion would just flutter his eyes and say "you'll have to guess~" in a flirtatious way.
