Peter said he didn't put forgiveness into a song but he got a good start with "Digging in the Dirt" to find and "open up the places I got hurt". Perhaps he could write another about forgiveness to complete the process.
Peter's a beautiful guy personally... sweet, warm, generous and sincere. At the Gund Arena backstage many years ago he walked up to me, a perfect stranger, to say hello (whereas usually the public approach celebrities). Besides being a great musician, composer, producer and humanitarian, Peter Gabriel is also a very lovely man.
